The Jon Grissom Academy, founded in 2176, is the Alliance's premier school for young human biotics. Housed in a space station in orbit above the human colony of Elysium, the school's Ascension Project trains and monitors young biotics while also assisting them to integrate into society. The academy is named after the Alliance biotic war hero Jon Grissom, and is staffed by a number of elite biotics and scientists including Grissom's own daughter Kahlee Sanders.
